![]() Show Library on Mac: Cmd + Alt/Option + L.This is by far the fastest way to fill up your page with all of the elements you need for your project.Įasily access your Library using your keyboard instead of your mouse! Clicking the Library tab at the top of the screen is always an option, but you can also use Ctrl or Cmd + Alt + L to see all of your designs. But you can make duplicating your elements even easier! Hold Ctrl or Cmd and use the arrow keys to duplicate your selection in any direction. Most people know that you can copy and paste using Ctrl or Cmd + C & V. However, you can skip opening the panel by simply selecting the pieces you want to recolor, holding Ctrl or Cmd, and clicking the element you want your selection to match! We used the eyedropper tool to make all of our monstera leaves the same light green color. You can always access the Eyedropper by going to the Fill Panel and selecting the icon from there. You could right-click and select the right grouping option, but did you know that you can group different elements together using your keyboard? Select the pieces that need to be grouped and ungrouped, then use the right shortcut below. Sorry for getting a little long winded.We know that everyone uses Silhouette Studio® in their own unique way. I would hands down recommend a MacBook, especially if you have other apple devices. So that could be an added expense to keep in mind. My boyfriend recently bought a MacBook Pro and needs dongles for everything whereas my Air has USB ports and an SD reader built in. The biggest downfall, in my opinion, to anything after the older air is that the only port is USB C. It syncs nicely with my phone for texting and airdrop as well as with our Apple TV for screen mirroring or extending displays. ![]() I have yet to use a mouse for any of my designing. I am finding iOS to be much more reliable than windows and the trackpad is ridiculously handy. One problem is that most tutorials online are on windows, but it’s pretty easy to translate. I never used silhouette on any other computer before, so I can’t speak to that comparison, but I have found the program easy to use. I just recently bought my first MacBook (Air, previous gen) after having and enjoying my first iPhone.
